Announcing a beautiful baby……

And the baby is……!

Yesterday, Oct 26th, I got my first sonogram of baby number three.

It was a new experience all together for me, as I have never waited until 20 weeks to see the baby. With Jeremiah it was around 8 weeks, then 18 for the gender. With Noah I saw him so much I was getting used to seeing him just about every few weeks (I bled a lot).  With this little one, NOT seeing the baby until 20 weeks, was foreign to me!

Then again, it made finding out what we were having, and seeing the baby, all that more exciting.

Because this pregnancy and delivery, I chose to go with a midwife, things are a bit different.

In fact, I like this time around much better!

My midwife is a wonderful Christian woman, whom I simply love visiting. We tend to sit and talk for 2 hours every time I visit her. It’s as if I am seeing a friend. SO different then going to a stuffy doctors office!

The beauty of this way, is when I hit around 36 to 37 weeks, she comes to visit me. Now that is sweet!  I will be having this little one at home. Should be something to remember. ;)

Because she is a midwife, you have to get a sonogram from a special place that does sonograms.  Hospitals do not accept midwifes sadly.

Yesterday, I walked into the Baby Waves sonogram place, and just felt funny. Again, I am used to hospitals, and doctors offices when it comes to this type of thing.

Once I filled out the paper, letting them know what kind of sonogram I wanted, we went to back room.

I laughed a little when we walked in.  It was almost like a small theater. ;)  A nice big screen to see the baby on, and lots of chairs. I suppose more could have come to view the baby. I noticed they were very relaxing chairs too.

It was the cheapest sonogram I’ve ever gotten, and honestly the best!  I can’t believe going through the doctors, it’s 200 to 700 a sonogram! This one was 75!  And the experience was better, as I could see the baby on the big screen!

Now I know the BIG question EVERYONE is asking, probably constantly throughout this whole post, “What are you having?” And for the select few that knew I was curious if I was having twins, I am only having ONE baby. Whew! I am glad of that honestly. ;)

Without further ado we are expecting a beautiful baby ……………..

baby

I can’t wait to meet her!  I am happy to tell the boys they will be expecting a baby sister.  As Jeremiah constantly has been talking about a sister, this makes it easier to just keep it that way. :)

  1. Congratulations! That is awesome! I’ve never had a baby, but my friend just had her’s and used a midwife and said that it was a wonderful experience and when she has another, it’s midwife all the way.

    Good luck to you!

  2. I am really excited for you guys and your new addition to your family. And how sweet that Jeremiah is getting his baby sister he wanted. A whole new dynamic to your family. :) Congratulations to you all!!!! :)

    • It is cute that he’s getting a sister. :) I am excited myself, although I think it has to sink in a bit. I’ve thought of you, and you having 4 boys then having a girl. How foreign that must have felt! And I only have 2 boys. It feels strange to look at girl clothes. ;)

  3. It will take some getting use to. ;) . So use to boys now. But I am excited about it. :) . Can’t wait to meet her. Very happy there was just one baby.

  4. Congratulations! So very exciting. Sonograms have come so far since I was having babies. How wonderful that you will be having your first baby girl :-) .
