Artichoke Sausage w/ Linguine

I found a recipe on the container that had my sausages that I buy. It only had 4 ingredients, and no directions. But OH it sounded yummy.

Olive Oil, Sausage, Artichokes and Linguine.

I added a few more things, and made it my own. ;)

It was DELICIOUS!!!

What you will need:

  • 1 yellow pepper (red or orange would be fine) sliced
  • 1 package sausage (I used Chicken Sausage, you can use any)
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 2 cans artichoke hearts – drained
  • 2 to 3 tbs Olive Oil
  • Linguine (really just depends on how much you want, I made about 4 servings)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Braggs Sprinkle

Saute onions in oil until tender. Add peppers, sausage, artichoke hearts to onions and oil.

Add salt and braggs to taste (I tasted the peppers from time to time to test the flavor to my liking) ;)

Add dash of pepper.

Mix in Lingunie.

Cook for 15 min.

Viola! YUMMY!! It even tastes like the noodles are buttered. Oh and the onions are delicious! I can’t wait to make this again!

  1. Yes, it was YUMMY. :O) Glad I was there the day you made it. ;O)

  2. My Mom used to make this exact recipe when we were young, except she used a spicy sausage to give it a kick. The onions and peppers in the dish were fantastic and the seasonings helped it to make the veggies more appealing when we were young. Now, as an adult I can’t get enough veggies. Thanks for reminding me of this recipe. I will have to try it for my own family now! Glad to have found you through VB! Tracy

    • Wow really!? That is neat. So happy to bring back some good memories! And am so with you, I can’t get enough veggies. Pleasure having you stop by. :D

  3. This looks so good. I have all the ingredients here at home, except the Braggs sprinkle. I have never heard of that. I believe this will be dinner tonight!

    • This is a seriously addicting dish! The Braggs sprinkle is a healthy mix of herbs and spices. Much like Spike, but with out MSG and such. :) It’s pretty good. Here’s a link. http://www.bragg.com/products/sprinkle.html When spike was starting to give me gas and tummy issues (due to msg) I switched. No problems and now I put it in EVERYTHING! :) Hope you enjoy the dish. Let me know what you think! :)

  4. Yum this recipe sounds tasty and easy. I like your changes to the original recipe, I think I would leave out the artichoke hearts but all other ingredients sound perfect! Might be trying this one some time soon.
