A few days ago I received my very first Babba Box. I learned about these through SITS Girls, and thought they were such great ideas!

You can subscribe to get a babba box each month for a whole year, a 3 month subscription, or simply pay each month for one. I recommend the yearly, as that is the best deal.
I couldn’t wait to open the box. I know it was mostly for my son, Jeremiah, who is 3, but I like getting boxes in the mail.
When the boys were asleep I opened it. I learned that this months theme was Sun, Moon, Stars.
What I love about these, is you don’t have to worry about one thing. You have ALL the supplies you need for each project!
When I showed Jeremiah the box he was excited! Not to mention my little 2 year old too.
My advise to anyone with kids really close in age that are younger, get a little toy (hot wheel, stickers or something like that, nothing expensive or project you have set aside) and place it in the box when you open it before the kids. Give that project/toy to the younger child FROM the box. Then they will feel more a part of the fun too.
The binoculars were an immediate hit. We read the instructions related to those, then Jeremiah walked around the house just enjoying the coolness of the binoculars. While that wasn’t what the instructions said, regardless, it sparked fun for him, and that’s worth it. I thought it was actually rather timely that this theme WAS Sun, Moon and Stars, because Jeremiah is so interested in the night sky lately.
While Jeremiah and I worked on one of the projects, I had Noah set up with crayons and paper. Since this was the simple project, the star chart, Noah didn’t seem TOO interested.
It was a fun project. I fumbled it the first time, as we didn’t have sunlight for days.. SO I tried it on a lamp in the house. Sun light is a must I learned! Once we had Sun light it was a pretty cool project. Jeremiah was interested and loved putting the stickers on, and waiting for it to “bake” in the sun. The results were a fun pattern of stars with out the stickers on it anymore.
All in all, this was a fun box to get in the mail. We have enjoyed exploring all the cool things inside.

That looks like the coolest thing. I confess, I love getting a box in the mail with fun surprises in it. I’m thinking this would be a fun gift for my smaller grand kids.

These almost remind me of the the magazines, Highlights. Cute fun things to get in the mail once a month.
Of course these are packed with great hands on activities.
Looks like Jeremiah really enjoyed making it. :O) And I know those binoculars were a hit with both kids! :O)
