I’d like to extend a warm welcome and an excited hello to all my fellow bloggers reading this. *waves*
My name is Sarah, hence the name “Sarah” in the Simply Me. I remember trying to find a name for my blog, which I started for a hobby. At the time, a mother of 2 children(ages 8 month old and 2 years old).
I HAD to do something! Jewelry making wasn’t cutting it. WAY too dangerous!
I decided to blog. Seemed easy enough. The name came about because really this blog is about “simply me”, yet my kids make up most of my life, so it’s about “simply them” too.
I had no idea WHAT to blog about back in the beginning, but slowly I’ve come to realize I love homemaking. Posts with delicious recipes started to pop up on this blog, which birthed a new desire to learn more meals to make. I’ve come A LONG way since I started this blog. I was miss microwave, take out girl. I hated cooking! Now you’ll find me cooking a whole chicken in the crock pot, making homemade refried beans, homemade broth, soups and checking out more new recipes to try out. My husband has enjoyed the change. Recently, I’ve switched to REAL food.
Not only have I learned to enjoy cooking, I’ve crossed over to enjoying my time completely as a mother and homemaker. Keeping this home running is exhilarating to me. When you sit down and realize, you have actually kept up with laundry, the kids are alive and fed, dinner is on the table, the house is clean….you get the picture. You feel accomplished. Course.. there are days when you DON’T get all that done.. Except the kids being alive. We all have those days.
Recently, I wrote a post regarding some personal aspects of my life at this time, and since then I feel revitalized. Joy inexpressible. Something ONLY the Lord can give.
To get the nitty gritty details about me personally check out this post, About Me. It also contains links to some posts that give EVEN MORE details about me. JUST in case you are curious.
I hope to mold this blog into a place where a mother can find enjoyment in homemaking.
If this, Navy Seal wannabe (I know weird huh? I had high aspirations!), who desired to be a boss in a large business(ya another high one,); can learn to love cooking, staying at home and actually ENJOY keeping up with laundry, you can too!
Thank you for joining me in this little part of the internet. I look forward to getting to know you!
