Full Speed Ahead and other musings of my life

Lately life feels like it’s going full speed ahead, do you ever feel like that?

When I sit back and really start to think about what’s going on..

  • Taking care of two boys each day (almost 2 year old and 3 year old)
  • Pregnant, due in March
  • First ever short family trip in November(I’ll write more on that later ;))
  • Noah’s second birthday on November 14th (Can’t seem to figure out a theme for him.. hmmm any ideas?)
  • This blog (Why not? Seems a big part of my life now. I am constantly thinking about what to do with it.)

Doesn’t seem like much.. But then I suppose daily life (stuff that just doesn’t go in the calender and ends up happening) is what brings in the “full speed ahead”.

Course what it takes to JUST watch two little boys is enough to take up ones life completely! haha Add to that pregnancy, one that I would venture to say is up there with my worst physically, I think I’m getting too old to have babies! My body is saying “NO!” ;).

Our first ever family trip is exciting, totally. But I am on a mission to seriously make it VERY cost efficient.  Any tips on how to lower the cost of a short (3 night 2 day trip to Branson, MO?)

Then there’s Noah’s birthday. My little guy is going to be 2. I can’t believe it! Time IS flying in that aspect! He is becoming such a sweet little boy, a complete joy to have around for sure. I love his speech, the way he walks, and his love of music (seriously this boy has a passion for music!). Just one thing, it’s sure hard to figure out a good theme for a birthday for him.

Jeremiah was easy. He loves construction trucks, BIG trucks, cars, at one point it was all about the Disney movie Bolt. No problem. Those themes are SO easy.

Noah on the other hand, really likes Kipper. One theme that doesn’t have any plate or anything for sale. I’ve looked, and it’s not out there! Figures! I almost got him a cake mold of a guitar. As I said, he loves music. One of his gifts IS a guitar. I can’t wait to give it to him. :D

And last, this blog.  It’s part of my life. I have a schedule, it’s going great too, but then I think something is missing.  Will have to think on it some more.  Maybe I’ll post on that too. ;)

How is your life going right now?

Your list may seem short but it’s all the stuff that each item requires that makes for a VERY busy time. Your trip sounds like fun. I can’t think of any tips except “don’t the small stuff”. :)

True. Sometimes I sit down and feel overwhelmed. I think it’s my pregnancy hormones right now. ;)
I think it’s going to be a very fun trip. We have never done on one ever as a family. And Branson, MO is decked out in Christmas decor when we go. I think the boys will enjoy all the stuff to look at. :)
I’ll try not to sweat the small stuff. :)

Well, I think somewhere we can get music theme plates and napkins for Noah’s birthday. I think that really is the best theme. I think online you can find some cute ones or when we go to Wichita later this month we can look down there. As far as money saving in Branson you can just do the eat in thing since you will have a full kitchen and then don’t go to any shows. Sounds cheap enough. I have learned that with any trip you always seem to bring more clothes then you need and less money then you need. I was told pack and then take half the clothes back out when you are done packing and with money double what you planned on bringing. lol

Thank you! :) I am feeling pretty good. It’s been a weird pregnancy this time around, but I’m surviving. Fun themes. :) Robots sound cute. :)

I have a feeling I am going to make a guitar cake with musical note plates for Noah. :)
