I was introduced to a REALLY nice program called PicMonkey once upon a time when I was all sad about Picnik closing this coming April 19th. You can find that post here.
On that post, Jen, from PicMonkey let me know about a fun program on the web that is comparable to Picnik. And told me that is would be coming soon.
It’s now up and running and last night, I checked it out. I have to say I am TOTALLY impressed! And beyond happy! It’s SO like Picnik!
I went on there an edited this photo:
I didn’t change much, but did some stuff to my eyes.
Added the caption. Yes yes, I love this new site! I can’t wait to explore more with all my pictures! It’s so simple, and so like picnik. It’s COMPLETELY FREE! Big bonus there. All the features are simple and easy to use. You will be well on your way to editing your photos like a pro.
If you were like me, sad over picniks soon passing, mourn no more, PicMonkey is here!
Stop by, check it out!

So you put mascara on and maybe some eyeliner. Nice trick. Like add-o-bay ( adobe ):O) Love your buddy!! Looks good!!
haha yes, that’s JUST about it. Although I smoothed a few spots of skin.
My buddy didn’t need any fixes! Amazing huh? hehe He is such a cutie!
Totally agree with your PicMonkey enthusiasm, Sarah. I just discovered it with a huge sense of relief. It’s a Picnik substitute that seems to be just as user friendly.
There are some awfully complicated editing programs out there! I wonder if PicMonkey ought to charge us just a little bit of money though?
Kind regards

I know the relief! I was loving Picnik, and then they let us all experience the premium only to cut the cord. When PicMonkey contacted me I was over joyed! Ipiccy is a good one as well, but PicMonkey does maintain a “Picnik” feel, which is one real I loved Picnik. Thanks for stopping by.
I can’t save my edited photos to my co mputer. I edit and ckick save but nothing happens. what am I doing wrong?
I am completely unsure. hmmm I went on PicMonkey just now to test it. I edited a picture I uploaded and hit save, renamed the photo and hit save once more in the little box that pops up. In checking where I saved my picture, I see it.
I am unsure why it’s not working for you. Maybe you have pop-ups blocked? Java may need to be updated? I am in no way an expert with PicMonkey.
You may have to contact support. Maybe this might help? http://help.picmonkey.com/ I REALLY hope some of this helps.
I DID notice that it seems PicMonkey is having small issues with loading things. But the over all saving and editing was working for me.
