I thought this might be fun to remember. The top viewed recipes of 2012!
I was surprised to go through them, and see what was the most viewed. But also not surprised about the ones that were the most shared.
Here are some recipes that made it to the top viewed list for 2012!
12. Grilled Chicken and Peaches
I would have to say this one truly wasn’t MY favorite dish. I wasn’t fond of the peaches, although they did add a flavor that was pretty good. Next time I would simply use a bit of orange juice in this recipe and get rid of the peaches all together. I did REALLY like the feta cheese in this.
11. Basic Coffee Cake
To die for. Oh yes yes! This one had SO many visits and shares, and I can understand why. This was SO delicious!! The kids loved it, my husband loved it, my parents loved it and I loved it. Great dish! Must try it if you haven’t already.
10. Easy Crock Pot Lasagna
This one actually is not my favorite at all. While at the time I truly thought making this was totally easy. Next time around I would have changed some ingredients. The minute I found this other recipe for lasagna, I was completely hooked on it. So the oven method to me has better results. Then again, with a few tweaks here and there, this crock pot dish might actually turn out pretty good too.
9. Easy Burrito Casserole
L.O.V.E. this one!! So easy to make and becoming a family norm in our house.
8. Broccoli Cheese Soup in Crock Pot
This is a really simple dish my husband and I enjoy. Although once I made Potato Soup, he has opt’d for that instead. Apparently, he’s not to fond of broccoli. haha
Prior to making the Potato soup, we had this one often.
Totally easy and wonderful with some homemade bread!
7. Overnight French Toast Souffle
Wonderful dish! The biggest perk with this one, besides that actual taste, is the ease. You make this one up the day before and once you get up in the morning stick it in a pre-heated oven. To easy!! I love breakfasts like that.
My whole family has truly enjoyed this one many times over since it’s first introduction into our lives.
6. Cheesy Potato Soup
Yummy Yummy Yummy! Perfect for cold days. Simple to make and completely satisfying! Great with cheddar bay biscuits.
5. Chocolate Marble Banana Bread
This was a fun twist to a tradition bread. I liked it better then having plain Banana Bread. Not to mention, it looks heavenly, doesn’t it?
4. Jello Cake
My all time favorite birthday cake! This is the cake I tend to have every year for my birthday. Moist, not to sweet, and refreshing. Since my birthday falls in the middle of July, this has always been the perfect cake for me.
3. Crock Pot Beef Stew
I totally loved this one! While not a hit with my family (pondering what’s wrong with them!?), was a complete hit with me. Sadly, since the boys nor my husband truly cared for it, I don’t make it much, if ever. BUT I will again, because this mommy seriously loves meat and potato dishes. And who knows, the boys probably WILL enjoy it too one day, when they step out of the picky zone. haha
2. Alfredo made easy
My husband’s favorite dish of all time. This is a dangerous one, as the taste is so divine you might end up gaining a pound or two after consumption! You have been warned! I can’t get enough of it whenever I make it.
1. Bread maker White Bread (very easy)
A staple in this house. I make this bread almost once a day! I am learning when you raise boys they eat. I’ll go through almost a full loaf a day between just Noah and Jeremiah. It’s truly simple and totally yummy!
So there you have it. The top 12 most viewed recipes of 2012. I enjoyed going over them again, and remembering some of the things I cooked along the way. It has been a great year of learning for me.
My love for cooking truly has grown over the year and as I step into 2013, I am looking forward to all the new dishes to try!

Now I am seriously crushed!!!! My watermelon sorbet guest post didn’t make the top 12. People, you don’t know what you’re missing! The basic coffee cake recipe is my favorite of the 12 (I’ve tried 9 of them). Looking forward to more wonderful dishes in 2013.

haha totally.
I was surprised that some of the recipes even made it to the top viewed.
I have SO many recipes I have tried over the last few months, I just have to get them posted! Rather behind on them..
And if anyone is reading this, this is the post Karen is talking about: http://ssimplyme.com/watermelon-sorbet/
I too find it fascinating what catches people attention and what doesn’t. Great list of items there my friend.

When I think of what you were when you started this blog and how cooking wasn’t one of the top things you enjoyed doing in your life. This is amazing to me. :O) I am very happy to see you cooking AND enjoying it!! Looking forward to enjoying some more of your recipes!!
It is a nice refresher. To look back at the beginning and see the change. It’s like a journal (in a more fun form)
